Our Offer for RTM:
In RTM, resin infusion and other composite manufacturing technologies BYK´s surface additives have a strong positive influence, by enabling fast and complete wetting of fibers and fabric by the matrix resin. Composite materials made using fiber wetting additives were more homogeneously impregnated and had less pin holes fewer dry spots and a reduced porosity. This is particularly evident in systems with high fiber volume contents.
One example of this product family is BYK-P9920, a highly effective dynamic wetting agent for Epoxy systems. Beyond that, BYK´s range of fiber-matrix coupling agents can also be used in RTM and related processes to optimize the mechanical properties of composites based on glass fibers.
